  • Artifact collecting to assist in narrative construcion during Ideation Session
  • Packaging analysis

  • Meet producers of artisan and specialized food production

The goal of the Trek is to help us collaboratively identify the physical manifestation (retail settings, restaurants, experiences and products) of emerging ideas, threads and themes related to food culture, how they impact your brand/category, as well as guidelines for relevancy in the future.

Signature Trek: Tasting Experiences

cultural trends trek

In the past, we have partnered with a variety of restaurants and caterers to provide customized menus designed to demonstrate and highlight specific trends in food and beverages.

We suggest three potential options, all of which can be articulated further per ongoing dialogue between Hartman Group and client team members:

  1. A catered breakfast by a restaurant or organization with expertise in seminal food trends such as local, sustainable, seasonal, post modern, etc.
  2. A group visit to a leading-edge cocktail space (Rivera, Bazaar) to get a sense of what cocktail artists on the fringe are crafting—as well as what ingredients they are using.
  3. An evening meal featuring a tasting menu similarly designed to expose team members to specific trends in food culture. This dinner could be sited at a restaurant, or, alternately, catered at the same offsite facility utilized for the breakfast meeting. From past experience, we have found that the latter option’s added intimacy leads to more engaging dialogue and insight.

Signature Trek: Collaborative Rapid Ideation Session

Hartman Group and client team members will reconvene after the immersions for a collaborative work session.
We view this process as an opportunity for active co-creation in the generation of insights and potential platforms for exploration and innovation.

This session will give participants an opportunity to:

  • Share experiences & Insights
  • Explore physical and visual artifacts
  • Evaluate hypotheses
  • Develop actionable insights
  • Explore platform opportunities
